#Exabytes Conference 2017
Every day this May, we’re bringing you another great little reason to head to #exabytes17. While the 7th of July might seem quite a way off, we think now’s the best time to start thinking about arranging cover to be released on the day itself.
On June 23rd last year, Bradford’s Midland Hotel hosted the first ever #exabytes, an all-day event organised by our exa.foundation to explore the effective use of technology in the classroom. With over a hundred teachers visiting the conference, we hosted a huge range of sessions covering everything from cybersecurity to Raspberry Pi, Python and more, making for one of the year’s best edtech events.
This year, we’re going to make it even better! We’re proud to announce that #exabytes will be returning to the Midland Hotel on Friday the 7th July 2017, with an incredible range of events, panels and sessions. We’ve listened to the feedback from our visitors (and those who couldn’t attend) last year, and have worked to put together an event that works even better for everyone.
Firstly, we’re running this year’s #exabytes two weeks later than the first one, with the initial date coming a bit too early for several (the later date also ensures that #exabytes17 doesn’t take place during Ramadan - another bit of feedback we’ve had).
If you’re reading this, you’re almost certainly the kind of person that #exabytes is aimed at - a teacher interested in using technology to get the very best results in and around the classroom. No matter what level you’re at, and where you see yourself going, there’s almost definitely something at #exabytes for you, with our teacher-led design meaning that you get to pick what’s focused on at the conference.
31 Ways in May
It’s often difficult to justify taking the time out from school to head to a conference. That’s why, every day throughout May, we’ll be sharing a different reason to head over to #exabytes17, from our teacher-led design to some of the great speakers, demos and events planned for the day.
We’re working to make #exabytes a truly unmissable experience for any teacher interested in edtech, whether you’re working in Primary education, teaching Computing at a Secondary level, or want to discover some fantastic ways to expand on your lessons and develop your career further.
Over on our EventBrite page, you’ll see a whole lot of information about #exabytes, and can book tickets for the show. Keep in mind that, if your school is an Exa customer, the price is just £10 per ticket - get in touch for your promotional code!
