A Truly Teacher-Led Conference
Every day this May, we’re bringing you another great little reason to head to #exabytes17. While the 7th of July might seem quite a way off, we think now’s the best time to start thinking about arranging cover to be released on the day itself.
No one wants to take time off to visit a conference only to find that the talks are thinly-veiled sales pitches. That’s a particularly big problem in edtech with the sheer number of products out there. #exabytes is absolutely not for disguised sales pitches - the conference is designed for teachers by teachers, with every presentation, talk and demo at the event covering real, useful topics.
With many edtech approaches requiring the use of specialised software or hardware, it’s likely that some talks will cover these products, whether that’s tablet computers, Raspberry Pi units or robotics kits. In those cases, you’ll be seeing teachers sharing methods that they’ve actually put into place in the classroom, which they’ve found to be genuinely effective.
If you’re interested in sharing an approach, or running a presentation/ demo covering any topic, we’d love to hear your ideas! Click through to our presentation form to submit your ideas for any talks or workshops you’re interested in running - and thanks for taking the time to help other teachers!
