Tried and Tested Teaching

Exploring new teaching strategies

Every day this May, we’re bringing you another great little reason to head to #exabytes17. While the 7th of July might seem quite a way off, we think now’s the best time to start thinking about arranging cover to be released on the day itself.

There’s an incredible range of ways in which to approach teaching, particularly when edtech comes into the picture. At #exabytes17, we’re giving you plenty of opportunities to discover and discuss some of the different ways that teachers from across the UK have led their classes, and how they’ve handled any problems that they’ve had to deal with in the classroom.

#exabytes is an entirely teacher-led event, with practically everyone at the event having had some level of experience in the classroom, from long-term teachers to those just starting out in education. While the precise timetable for the event is still being voted on by delegates, we expect that there’ll be at least a few events covering some of the strategies that people have used in their classrooms - we’ll be keeping you updated closer to the day itself!

We’re committed to giving everyone at #exabytes some great opportunities for networking in a great environment - it’s part of why we’ve rented out Bradford’s luxury Midland Hotel for the day (along with the incredibly convenient location of the hotel - it’s right by Bradford Forster Square train station).

We’ve designed the basic #exabytes schedule to make it easy for attendees to meet their peers throughout the day, from the lunch included with all tickets to the 20-minute gaps between all events on the timetable.

The night before #exabytes, we’re also hosting a Bradford TeachMeet, giving interested teachers an even better chance to explore how their peers approach different situations. Head over to the #exabytes EventBrite page to find out more about both events and book your tickets - we’ll be running a full blog on the TeachMeet tomorrow!
